Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They offer an added benefit or effect when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, gotten as a reward, or created with crafting materials. In addition to providing bonus points Upgrade items also be cosmetically beneficial.

Upgrade components can include inscriptions, enhancements, and infusions. They are not generally available for general use and can only be used on ascended equipment or certain weapons that aren't ascended from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be retrieved from equipment with an Infusion Extraction Device. They can also be salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
In contrast to other upgrade items, Phoenix Boxes can be traded while still connected to the item they are upgrading, and can be re-used after being salvaged. These upgrade items are the most effective option to boost the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium, as they can increase the item's chance of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.
An upgrade component within an item can be replaced with a different one, but doing so destroys the original (except for upgrades to legendaries and equipment with ascended levels). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or higher. If you upgrade an existing weapon that already has a suffix or a prefix upgrade the item will be named in the same way as it appears on the game screen (for instance, adding the Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor makes it Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can only have up to three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be an excellent accessory to any item. They provide unique advantages and boosts. item upgrading can also increase the number of affixes on an item, increasing its overall power. These glyphs can be obtained through dungeons, and some can even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. It's important to remember that glyphs are only available to characters who have created a dungeon that has the same depth.
In order to use a Glyph first, you need to build it from components and connect them with anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you don't wish to build the glyph from components, you can create it using a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element near the highlighted component to snap it into place.
Certain glyphs require specific conditions to be met like 25 Dexterity within a specific area on the Paragon Board. Some also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated which is sometimes difficult to attain. Certain glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs are able to be applied to many different items and weapons, except for those belonging to a specific class. Some of these glyphs require conditions for instance, having a certain amount of dexterity or attack damage in a particular area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of blocking enemy attacks by 5%. It also has a chance of 15% to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Some glyphs can also be used on limited use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs are the attack glyphs which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat value. These glyphs are particularly useful for classes that employ ranged weapons, such as Warriors or Rogues. The Exploit Glyph can make enemies who attack the Hero vulnerable to damaging effects.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are tokens that are used to roll back one of the results when taking an Action. When the reroll occurs the tokens are then discarded. Reroll tokens are obtained through a variety of ways, including through the dungeons, raids, and skirmishes. They can also be purchased at the store or purchased from other players. They are especially beneficial in dungeons or trials, as they allow players to roll rewards from the end of the chest.
For items at the level 1, there are values for recycling points. The upgrade gauge will grow by a certain amount of points when you recycle an item. This value scales based on the item's level and rarity. The upgraded item will also not be able to keep its level when rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item increases as its level increases.
The player can also use reroll tokens in order to roll an item. However it won't bring back the item's original stats, or level. This is a great option for those who wish to reroll a piece of equipment that they don't like but want to keep in their collection.
Three different types of upgrade coins are available in the game: reroll, randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type has a few subtypes. Reroll tokens, for example are available in three categories that are rare, legendary, and enhanced. Each requires a product of the respective level to produce an item of the same quality.
To use tokens that reroll you must select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking on the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Then, select a kind of token. The available tokens include Item, Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a new Item in any quality. Utilizing an item token or a Weapon or Misc token will result in a new weapon from the same faction.
There is also a chance that the item will be upgraded to a new item with an increased level and the same stats. This could happen if the item is in the Pool that cannot be dropped or was transferred to it as part of the Franchise Card.
